Report on Ordinance No.... 11 of 1910

I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled

An Ordinance to amend the Opium Ordinance, 1909

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to

the Governor's Instructions

.

7.1

This Ordinance amends various sections of the Opium Ordi-

-nance, 1909, which have been found defective.

Section 2 adds a definition of "export", which was necessary

to make effective the prohibitións ́against the export of opium

and morphine or compounds of opium contained in sections 36 å

52 of the Priñcipal Ordinance.

Section 3 makes it an offence, except in the case of morphin

or compounds of opium in transit or specially exempted, for any
